Walt Disney World – 2020 (Girls Weekend)

It’s been quite some time since I’ve made a blog post but nonetheless, I am back! Before the mandatory quarantine ever started, we took our annual family girls trip! We normally go somewhere different each year, and this time we went to Disney World! It was February when we went, so the weather was pretty perfect. Not too hot, not too cold. It wasn’t insanely busy like I remember Disney always being (this was my 4th time going), but it was still packed full! We were just there for a long weekend, so we only went to two of the parks. We did Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom!

We had a lot of fun and I tried to take as many pictures as possible. Although, being in the moment, sometimes you forget to snap everything! I am going to share with y’all some of the pictures that I did manage to take throughout our 2020 Disney experience!

The day we arrived in Orlando, we went and walked around at Disney Springs. This is where I experienced my first ever Cupcake ATM. It was pretty cool!

To get over to Magic Kingdom, you can either ride the monorail or take a ferryboat and we decided to do the ferryboat! It was a nice little view and the ride was very relaxing!

Seeing the castle is so breathtaking! Even though I’ve been before and I’ve seen it before, it still amazes me every single time!

Like Magic Kingdom has the castle, Animal Kingdom has the Tree of Life! It’s HUGE!

One of my aunts and one of my cousins had never been to Disney before, so we decided that our first ride just HAD to be “It’s a Small World”. It’s such a classic and original ride so we figured it would be perfect for the first-timers!

One of the bathrooms was in the shape of Rapunzel’s tower. It was painted just like it and it had the lanterns in the sky which I thought was sooo cute! It just sucks that it was a bathroom and not something nicer. However, it’s cool that they try to incorporate that Disney touch into everything in the park!

We reserved breakfast one morning at 1900 Park Fare and it was absolutely delicious. The food was so good, especially for a buffet. They had these red velvet pancakes with cream cheese frosting and they tasted like HEAVEN. I still crave them to this day! It was a character breakfast, so we got to meet a few characters and get our pictures taken! We met Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, The Mad Hatter, Winnie the Pooh, and Tigger.

Outside of the character breakfast, we met and took pictures with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Buzz Lightyear!

We went to see the parade and saw just about every character you could possibly think of! It was so fun and upbeat and it really just makes you super happy while watching it.

I of course had to have a mickey mouse head ice cream bar!

We stayed for the fireworks show over the castle and it was truly the most magical thing I have ever experienced in my whole life. Not only are there fireworks, but they put on a video show that projects directly onto the castle. It was so moving that I literally teared up. I am not exaggerating when I say that I have never experienced something so amazing. I don’t remember it ever being so magical in the past, but my goodness, it is most definitely a MUST-SEE!!!

Being at Disney World made me really want to go back again soon, and I think my best friend and I are going to try to go sometime next year!

Have you ever been to Disney World? What is your favorite part?

xoxo, sav
