Colorful Streusel Coffeecake

I decided to try a new recipe this week and it did not disappoint! This cake was super delicious and I would totally make it again!

You will need:

1 ½ sticks of salted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 ¾ cups M&M’S®

4 TWIX® bars, chopped

½ cup firmly packed light brown sugar

Cooking spray

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a springform pan with cooking spray.

In a large bowl, mix together 1 stick of butter and the sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs and vanilla and mix.

In a medium bowl, mix together 2 cups of flour and baking powder.

Slowly add dry mixture into the wet while still mixing. Be sure to not overmix.

Fold in ¾ cup of M&M’S® & spread batter into the pan.

In a separate bowl, combine the chopped TWIX® bars, ½ cup of flour, brown sugar, and ¼ cup melted butter for the streusel. Fold in 1 cup of M&M’S®.

Sprinkle the streusel evenly over the cake batter.

Pop the cake in the oven and bake it for 35 to 40 minutes or until firm to the touch.

Let the cake cool completely before removing from the pan. For storage, use a tightly sealed container.

This cake was so good! I didn’t think it was going to taste that great because when I tasted the batter, I wasn’t too wild about it. I was very surprised when I tasted it after it was cooked, though. DELICIOUS!
