Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask – Review

Okay so I asked for the Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask for Christmas and I got it! I used it the other day and I absolutely love it! I immediately saw a difference in my skin and I am still so amazed by the results. I am constantly looking forward to when I will use it again. The best thing about it is that it is affordable and so easy to use!

According to the box, the mask uses red and blue light energy to filter through your skin to target acne-causing bacteria. Each treatment is just 10 minutes, which is super convenient. Although the light emitted is in no way dangerous to you, I had to keep my eyes closed for the majority of the time because mine are sensitive – just a heads up for those who also have sensitive eyes, but remember it is totally safe! The mask comes with an activator that has 30 sessions programmed in it. Whenever you have used all 30 of the sessions, you can actually purchase just a new activator, without having to buy the whole mask all over again, which I think is great!

The mask and the activator both have expiration dates, so make sure you look at that when you buy it! My mom got mine online so I’m not exactly sure when she bought it, but according to mine, it will last for at least a month. I’m assuming that it is actually longer than that, though. You may be able to look in-store and find one that will last the longest! Mine came from Ulta.

The box and instructions do mention that the mask should only be used for those people that have mild to moderate acne. If you have clear skin or severe acne, it is not recommended because the results have not been proven yet! I am somewhere in between clear skin to mild acne. I, of course, will only use the mask when I’m having some breakouts.

I would highly recommend this product to those who have acne problems. I really love trying out new products and sharing my honest review with y’all. Let me know what other products I should try out and review! I’m up for anything!

xoxo, sav
