Cookies 2 Ways

I recently got back in the kitchen and started baking again! I’ve decided to share a couple more recipes with you guys!

Salted Nutella Cookies from here

Makes: 10 cookies

You will need:

1 cup unsalted butter

2 cups powdered sugar

1 large egg

1 cup self-rising flour

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 cup Nutella

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Mix together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Mix in the egg.

Gradually add the flour and salt until a dough forms.

Add the Nutella and marble it through the dough using a butter knife.

Divide the dough into 10 balls, then lightly push them down to make them flat.

Sprinkle some sea salt onto each cookie, then bake for 12 minutes.

Let cookies cool completely before eating and enjoy!

Mini Chocolate Cookies from here

These cookies are very similar to the other ones, however these are more of a shortbread-type cookie.

Makes: 24 small or 12 large

You will need:

1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup powdered sugar

1 large egg

2 ½ cups self-rising flour

½ cup chocolate chips

1 jar of chocolate spread – chilled (I used Hershey’s)

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Mix together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Mix in the egg.

Mix in the flour and chocolate chips until a dough forms.

This recipe actually instructs you to put the chocolate spread in the middle of the cookie dough, but I liked the previous recipe so much that I decided to make it similar to that. I used my hands and mixed the two together. I also decided to make my cookies regular-sized instead of mini-size.

Place dough balls on the baking sheet and push them down slightly.

Bake for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.

Enjoy!

Let me know if you try either one of these recipes (or both), and what your thoughts on them are. Talk to you soon!

xoxo, sav
