My Trip to Niagara Falls

In June of 2015, I was lucky enough to be invited to go on vacation with my cousins. They were going to Niagara Falls and I obviously jumped at the opportunity! I was so excited and I must say, it was one of the most amazing vacations I have ever been on and I absolutely want to return!

We flew out of CAE and into BUF.

We rented an awesome car.. They let us pick the Jeep!

We went and had “buffalo wings” for lunch at this restaurant called Duff’s Famous Wings. It was DELICIOUS! Although, we did read that people from Buffalo get offended when you call them Buffalo wings… so, when we ordered, we just said wings!

We then drove the rest of the way to Niagara Falls. The drive was less than an hour! As you may know, the falls border New York and Canada. Our hotel was on the Canada side and most of the attractions that we did and the entrance to the Niagara Falls State Park was on the New York side… Let’s just say we had to cross the border A LOT. We crossed the Canadian/American border by car and by foot which was really cool to experience!

We had dinner one night at the Skylon Tower. It was super fancy and the restaurant revolved while giving you the perfect view of the falls!

We had breakfast one day at this really homey and delicious restaurant called Abby’s. They had a lot of southern foods which really reminded me of home!

We did Cave of the Winds and Maid of the Mist which were both such an incredibly breathtaking experience. The pictures don’t do them justice!

We went to an amazing dinner show called “Oh Canada Eh?”. It was so much fun and the food was great!

Another memorable place was a bakery called Bakerbots Baking. We went there while exploring Toronto and had their homemade ice cream sandwiches. They were incredible!

We also went to the CN Tower! The view was amazing but in all seriousness, it was kind of scary standing on the glass floors!

That just about wraps up our trip! Those were the main places we visited and the highlights of our trip. I had such a blast and I am still so thankful that my cousins’ let me tag along! Let me know if you’ve ever been to Niagara Falls or if going there is a dream of yours like it was mine!

Until next time…

xoxo, sav
